Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 4, 2026
1. Introduction
Know It All (“the App”) is operated by MySchool, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation with principal offices in Maryland. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Know It All mobile application on iOS and Android.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Important Disclaimer
Know It All is an educational study tool only. It is designed to help OB/GYN residents practice clinical reasoning through simulated oral board scenarios. The App does not provide medical advice, clinical diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. AI-generated feedback is for learning purposes only and should never be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment, clinical guidelines, or supervision by a qualified healthcare provider.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, PGY (post-graduate year) level, and institution or residency program name.
- Authentication credentials: if you sign in with email and password, we store a securely hashed version of your password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only the profile information those services share (typically name and email).
- Voice input: when you use the App’s voice feature, your audio is streamed in real time to our AI processing services. The audio is transcribed to text, and the resulting text transcript is stored as part of your conversation history. We do not store raw audio recordings.
- Conversation data: your responses, the AI examiner’s prompts, and feedback generated during practice sessions are stored in your account.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device type, operating system and version, and app version, as collected by the Expo / React Native framework.
- Usage data: we may collect information about how you interact with the App, including session timestamps, features used, and performance metrics.
3.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- We do not collect financial or payment card information directly. When paid subscriptions become available, all payment processing will be handled by third-party payment processors (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), and we will not have access to your full payment card details.
- We do not currently collect protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA. If future features involve user-uploaded clinical data, we will update this policy and implement appropriate safeguards before those features launch.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide and operate the App: deliver AI-driven practice sessions, generate feedback, and maintain your account.
- Personalization: tailor scenarios, difficulty, and feedback based on your conversation history, training level, and performance patterns.
- Product improvement: analyze usage patterns and conversation data in aggregated or de-identified form to improve the quality, accuracy, and educational value of the App.
- Communication: send you service-related notices, such as account verification, security alerts, and updates about the App. When push notifications are available, you will be able to control your notification preferences.
- Support: respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
5. How We Share Your Information
5.1 AI Service Providers
To power the AI examiner, your conversation inputs (including voice transcripts) are transmitted to third-party AI service providers via their APIs. We currently use OpenAI and may integrate additional providers (such as Anthropic and Google AI) in the future. These providers process your inputs to generate responses in real time. We use API-based access with contractual provisions that prohibit these providers from using your data to train their models.
5.2 Institutional Licensees
If your access to Know It All is provided through an institutional license purchased by your residency program or institution, your individual usage data and performance information may be shared with authorized representatives of that institution (such as program directors or designated faculty). You will be informed at the time of account creation if your account is linked to an institutional license. If you hold an individual license, your data is not shared with any institution.
5.3 Service Providers
We may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, data storage, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to perform services for us and to maintain its confidentiality.
5.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
5.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the App before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5.6 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a managed SQL database hosted by Railway, a cloud infrastructure provider. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption of data in transit and at rest.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information and conversation history for as long as your account remains active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements).
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction: you may view and update your account information within the App at any time.
- Data deletion: you may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at admin@getknowitall.com. We will process your request within 30 days. In-app account deletion will be available in a future update.
- Data portability: upon request, we can provide you with a copy of your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent to process personal data, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
9. Children’s Privacy
Know It All is intended exclusively for medical residents and healthcare professionals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.
11. Beta Program
Know It All is currently in beta. During the beta period, features, data collection practices, and this Privacy Policy may change more frequently than in a stable release. We will notify you of material changes as described in Section 12. Your continued use of the App during the beta period constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an in-app notification or email). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
